Jeremy Hurst, president and owner of IRG Cayman, the exclusive sales and marketing agency for Mandarin Oriental in Cayman, and Brian Gooding, sales manager for Mandarin Oriental Residences in Cayman, spoke to REAL LIFE about the planned development and what it means for the Cayman Islands.

Born and raised in Grand Cayman, she has an intimate knowledge of the island and over 20 years of excellence in customer service. Fleur was educated in the United Kingdom before returning home in 1998. She excelled in sales and hospitality prior to launching her career in real estate, where she enjoys helping clients find their dream property. Outside of her professional life, Fleur is passionate about wellness, travel, and spending time with her family and son, Max.

Although they started out a continent apart – David was raised in Victoria, BC, while Michelle grew up in Cayman, spending her time picnicking on beaches and visiting construction sites – they were perhaps destined to become partners in life and business. Having met at school in Canada, they followed separate paths for a time. David dabbled in snowboarding in Calgary and bartending in Greece, and Michelle travelled extensively whilst completing a degree in Art History. Eventually, they reunited in Toronto, where David was finishing a degree in interior design, and Michelle was embarking on a Master’s in Architecture. Both went on to work at top design firms in Canada before relocating to Cayman in 2008 to open Design Studio. Since then, they have been applying their complementary skill sets to both Butler Developments and to numerous bespoke residential projects. David has returned to skateboarding and Michelle nurtures their son’s design sensibilities by taking him to construction sites at weekends.
